The management of Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism has their own vision which is to promote the faculty as centre of academic excellence that is of competitive standing locally and internationally and to generate highly professional graduates who are caring, enterprising and productive in the fields of tourism and hospitality. This faculty also move on their own mission which is to acknowledge as a leading educational centre for the development and productive and dissemination of knowledge in the broad field of tourism and hospitality both local and internationally.

Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism comprise of four programmes which are Hospitality in food service management, Hospitality in tourism management, Hospitality in hotel management and Hospitality in culinary art. In order to ensure that students are accustomed to working in the hospitality industry, this faculty has its own hotel to serve as a training ground for students. This hotel is located at fourth levels in the building.

UiTM HOTEL, PUNCAK ALAM

The hotel has 16 rooms equipped with basic amenities such as hot kettle, television, towel, iron board and standard amenities. Another 12 deluxe rooms are furnished with the latest features and elegant decoration. Therefore, a sufficient number of rooms will make it easier for students to do the practical work needed and at the same time they may gain as much experience as they can during the practical training. In addition, every room in this hotel has a size that mostly similar to the actual size of the real hotel room that is operating in the industry.

Besides that, the hotel also has two service apartment named Perdana 1 and Perdana 2. This services apartment has two rooms which one main room and one common room. The room also included with the amenities such as kitchenettes complete with cabinet and cooking utensils. Moreover, the room also has a big living room that can accommodate the big number of the hotel guests’ in the room. Similar to any service apartment, the room is furnished with sofa set and dining table for the convenient of the guests that occupied the room.

The hotel also has conferences rooms and banquets hall that can accommodate up to 300 pax per event.

Despite the fact that the hotel is designed and set up as a training hotel for the students of Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism, the place actually be the potential to be open to the public.
